About our church.
Welcome! Let's help get you connected.
Our History
PPC was birthed in 1964 in the community of Bay Ridges. For the first few years of its existence, the congregation met in a school auditorium. In 1968, property was purchased at the corner of Eyer and Oklahoma Drive and a small building was erected. In 1978, a new auditorium and Christian Education facility were added. By 2000, PPC had outgrown the property and moved to its current location.

We Are Culturally Diverse
We are a multi-cultural congregation that celebrates our diversity. We like to think that PPC is a microcosm of what it will be like in heaven, as described in Revelation 5:9, where we are told the people of God will be "from every tribe and language and people and nation."
Affiliation
We are affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC) that has a fellowship of over 1100 churches across Canada. We believe in the empowerment of the Holy Spirit so that we can go into all the world and make disciples as Jesus has instructed us to do. We are in alignment with PAOC’s Statement of Fundamental & Essential Truths.

REV. MARIE MILLER
Pastor Marie joined the pastoral staff of Pickering Pentecostal Church as Team Leader in August 2017. An excellent communicator of God’s Word, generating enthusiasm and faith, along with her energetic personality, she appeals to a diverse congregation and touches lives cross-generationally. She has a burning passion for releasing the next generation into their rightful service in the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Marie’s former background in the corporate business world, coupled with two decades of ministry experience as an Evangelist are the components that she brings to the Team Leadership of PPC. Her compelling ministry together with the incredibly gifted staff at PPC, will be fused as they reach out to touch lives across Durham. Her vision is to see a Word-based, prayer-centric community of worshippers reaching across generations and cultures with the spirit-empowered gospel of Christ, offering hope and a future to all within its reach!

Our Vision:
"To be a Christ-directed church, prayerfully working together to produce a healthy, growing and loving body of believers." - Ephesians 4:15-16
